Director of Public Works Services of the Municipality of Viqueque, Casildo Gomes Soares, informed that the Institute for the Management of Infrastructure Support Equipment, the Public Institute (IGEADI, I.P), has highlighted equipment in the Ailembada river located in Babulo village, Uatulari post to normalise because it has affected 19 households.
“IGEADI, I.P. has completed normalisation in the Wetuku river, Bahalarauin village, so they continue to highlight equipment to Uatulari post, to carry out normalisation of the Ailembata river that threaten the population’s homes and the public transport movement to Uatucarbau,” said Casildo Gomes Soares to the Tatoli Agency, in his office in Beloi, today.
He added that segmentation in the river will also be removed so that the rain will not affect the community’s homes.
” After normalising the Ailembata river, we have coordinated with the IGEADI team to normalise the Uatulari road, which has recently been very difficult for public transport,” he said.
The road connected to Uatulari up to Iraler is about 31 km, and has not yet received any rehabilitation, making it difficult for six suco residents to bring their local products to the market.
Previously the village chief Babulo Maria Tridade said that rural roads were linked to Uatulari in the area where the population of the rural area was barred, the majority of the residents were born to farmers, but their products could not access the market due to road conditions.
