The Institute for Infrastructure Development Equipment Management, the Public Institute (IGEADI, I.P), highlighted the equipment of the Wetuku River, Bahalarauain Village, Viqueque Vila Administrative Post, Viqueque Municipality, to normalise the river that threatened the population of Bahalarauain Village, Bibileo and suku Luka.
The President of the Municipal Authority, Francisco Cruz S.de G Soares, said that the IGEADI, I.P. team has normalised the Wetuku water and river almost two weeks as the most recent river has affected the houses of the population in three villages near the Wetuku river.
“The technical team of IGEADI will continue to work, and I hope that in a short time it will be normal for the Wetuku river to be completely normalised, so as not to further threaten our communities living in the three sucos,” said Francisco Cruz S.de G Soares, to the Tatoli Agency, on Monday.
The President of the Viqueque Authority noted that the IGEADI, I.P. highlighted two excavators and therefore normalised and removed segmentation in the Wetuku river and the possibility of finalising it in June.
The normalisation work was accompanied by the Viqueque Vila post authorities and the Public Works Service (SOP).
After normalising the Wetuku River I also communicated to the IGEADI team to normalise the Sumaku bridge, the Lakluta post which ended up facilitating the movement of people with transportation to the Directorates of Lakluta and Viqueque,” he said.
The PAM requested for support from IGEADI because the municipality of Viqueque has no equipment, so it has the duty and responsibility to communicate with the national.
“I have also continued to communicate with IGEADI technical parties to normalise the Welolo river where floods have occurred that have made it difficult for our communities to include students, to enable communities to access it. In addition to normalising the Welolo river, normalising the Ailembata river, Babulu village, Uatulari post damaged the 19 household communities, “the municipal authorities were responsible.
